SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE APPROVES EDITORIAL CHANGES TO CONSOLIDATED LIST,

CORRECTS SPELLING OF ONE INDIVIDUAL, ADDS FURTHER INFORMATION ON ANOTHER

The Al-Qaida and Taliban Sanctions Committee on 9 September 2005 approved editorial changes to its Consolidated List.  The changes ensure that any date is formatted consistently throughout the list (day/month/year).  Certain correction may improve sanctions implementation, as they provide for more precise identification of listed individuals and entities.  These corrections are listed below (marked with cross-through and underline).  However, most corrections are of a purely editorial nature, in no way changing identifying information, and are therefore not included below (I).  States are encouraged to confer with the latest updated version of the list available on the Committee’s website.

The Committee has also approved certain corrections and additional information relating to individuals placed earlier on the Committee’s list.  The corrections and information is included below (II).
