CONVERSATION ON PEACEKEEPING AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION TO TAKE PLACE ON 5 OCTOBER
The third in a series of lectures and conversations to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of former United Nations Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld will be held on Wednesday, 05 October 2005 from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. in the Dag Hammarskjöld Auditorium.
Titled “Peacekeeping and conflict resolution: then and now”, the event will feature a conversation with Lakhdar Brahimi, Under-Secretary-General, Special Adviser to the Secretary-General and Jane Holl Lute, Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations in the office of Mission Support, DPKO. The discussion will be moderated by United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information, Shashi Tharoor.
The series is being organized by the UN’s Dag Hammarskjöld Library with the support of the Government of Sweden.
