On page 6 of Press Release GA/SHC/3817, issued on 7 October, the first paragraph summarizing the statement of the representative of the United Kingdom should read as follows:

ADAM THOMSON (United Kingdom), speaking on behalf of the European Union, said several European Union Member States, candidates and countries joining through the Stabilization and Association Process had ratified the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its Protocols on the Smuggling of Migrants and the Trafficking of Persons and the Protocol Against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms.  He encouraged participants to use the second Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Transnational Organized Crime, in October, to conduct a substantive review of progress thus far.
