In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for March:

Security Council

Jean-Marc de La Sablière, Permanent Representative of France, succeeds Wang Guangya, Permanent Representative of China, as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Major General Chen Feng (China) succeeds Lieutenant General Walter L. Sharp (United States) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
