NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF serbia and montenegro PRESENTS CREDENTIALS

Nebojša Kaludjerović, the new Permanent Representative of Serbia and Montenegro to the United Nations, presented his credentials to Secretary-General Kofi Annan today.
From 2003 until his current appointment, Mr. Kaludjerović was Chief of Cabinet to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Montenegro. From 2002 to 2003, he was Chief of Cabinet to the President. He was Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2000 until 2001.
Between 1994 and 2000, the new envoy worked in the trade and engineering sector in the Russian Federation. He was Special Adviser for multilateral affairs to the Federal Foreign Minister between 1990 and 1992. From 1988 to 1990, Mr. Kaludjerović was a member of the Federal Secretariat for Foreign Affairs in Yugoslavia. Prior to that, he served in that country’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, dealing with international security and disarmament issues.
Fluent in English and Russian, Mr. Kaludjerović graduated from the School of Law, BelgradeUniversity. He was born in Nikšić, in the Republic of Montenegro in 1955. He is married and has one child.
