In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for May:

Security Council

Munir Akram, Permanent Representative of Pakistan, succeeds Adolfo Aguilar Zinser, Permanent Representative of Mexico as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

      Major General Chen Feng (China) succeeds Lieutenant General George W.
Casey, Jr. (United States) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
