YALE UNIVERSITY UN ORAL HISTORY PROJECT DONATES 100 TAPED INTERVIEWS
TO DAG HAMMARSKJOLD LIBRARY
Jean Krasno, Deputy Director, United Nations Oral History Project, Yale University, will present a set of over 100 taped interviews and transcripts to the Dag Hammarskjöld Library at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, 15 October, in the Library's Woodrow Wilson Reading Room.
These tapes, which cover major political issues such as the United Nations Special Commission (UNSCOM) and the peace process in El Salvador, are an extremely valuable resource for research into United Nations issues over the years. This new material will supplement the Oral History tapes and transcripts already available in the Library, which were produced by Yale in the 1980s, under contract to the Department of Public Information.
In addition to her work with the Oral History project, Ms. Krasno currently heads the Academic Council on the United Nations System.
For further information, please contact Phyllis Dickstein, Head Librarian, ext. 3-7443.
