FIFTH COMMITTEE DEFERS CONSIDERATION OF PROGRAMME BUDGET IMPLICATIONS OF TEXT
ON FOLLOW-UP TO INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FINANCING FOR DEVELOPMENT
Scheduled to take up the programme budget implications of a Second Committee resolution on ensuring effective Secretariat support for the follow-up to the International Conference on Financing for Development, the Fifth Committee (Administrative and Budgetary) decided this afternoon to defer consideration of the question as the relevant documentation was not yet available.
Explaining the situation to the Committee, the Director of the Office of Programme Planning and Budget Division, Warren Sach, said the text was adopted by the Second Committee this morning and taken up by the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ) at 12:30 p.m. today. At the moment, the Advisory Committee was still deliberating on its report on the question.
The Committee will resume its work at 10 a.m. tomorrow, 12 December.
