1267 COMMITTEE APPROVES DELETION OF INDIVIDUAL’S NAME FROM LIST

On 8 July 2002, the 1267 Committee approved the deletion of Liban Hussein (Canadian citizen) from its consolidated list (Al-Qaida section).  The Committee’s decision is based on information provided by a Member State.

The Committee takes this opportunity to recall that it is the obligation of all States to comply with the mandatory measures adopted by the Security Council in the fight against terrorism, in particular those contained in resolution

1390 (2002).  The Committee will continue to update its list on the basis of information provided by Member States.
