HOST COUNTRY AGREEMENT FOR MANAGUA MEETING ON MINE-BAN CONVENTION SIGNED


NEW YORK, 23 August (Department for Disarmament Affairs) -- Today the Under-Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs, Jayantha Dhanapala, on behalf of the United Nations and Ambassador Eduardo Sevilla Somoza, on behalf of the Government of Nicaragua, signed a host country agreement that provides the legal framework for arranging the conference facilities and servicing and the privileges and immunities to be granted to participants at the Third Meeting of the States Parties to the Mine-Ban Convention.


The Meeting will take place in Managua, Nicaragua, from 18 to 21 September.
