NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS

Mirza Kusljugic, the new Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations, presented his credentials to Secretary-General Kofi Annan today.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Kusljugic served as Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tuzla.
Mr. Kusljugic attended the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, where he received his bachelor's (1978) master's (1986) and Ph.D. (1989) degrees. He also studied at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, United Kingdom, where he specialized in electric power engineering.
In 1998, Mr. Kusljugic attended the JICA Training Center in Tokyo, Japan, where he specialized in "Business Management for Bosnia and Herzegovina".
Mr. Kusljugic is fluent in English and Russian.
Born on 23 June 1955, he is married and has one child.
