On page 12 of Press Release GA/SHC/3566 issued 18 November, the first complete paragraph should be replaced by:
The representative of Lebanon said he had abstained because a definition of terrorism had yet to be agreed upon. General Assembly resolution A/46/51 of 1991 had called for a definition of terrorism. The resolution voted on today did not refer to the distinction between terrorism and the right to self- determination. Lebanon categorically condemned terrorism. It had been a victim of terrorism from the Israeli occupation.
The representative of Syria said he had abstained because a definition of terrorism, as called for in resolution A/46/51, had yet to be agreed upon. In the text just acted upon, no distinction was made between terrorism and the right to self-determination.
