NEW CHAIRMEN OF UNITED NATIONS SECURITY BODIES IN AUGUST

In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the new Chairmen of the United Nations security bodies for August:

Security Council

Martin Andjaba (Namibia) succeeds Hasmy Agam (Malaysia) as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Major General Chen Fuyuan (China) succeeds Lieutenant General Edward G. Anderson III (United States) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
