NOTE TO CORRESPONDENTS UNITED NATIONS RADIO TO BROADCAST LIVE INTERNATIONAL PHONE-IN WITH HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS

As part of the United Nations commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, United Nations Radio will be broadcasting a live international phone-in with the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson. Correspondents from regional and international radio networks will be able to put their questions to the High Commissioner on global human rights issues.

The live phone-in is scheduled for Thursday, 10 December, from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. eastern daylight time, from the United Nations Radio studios in New York.

The broadcast can be heard by the following methods:

1. By switching number 6 on the press monitor system.

2. By dialling 08 on the rotary.

3. By dialling IBX 058 on the telephone.
