ASSEMBLY URGES ENHANCED COOPERATION WITH ECONOMIC COOPERATION ORGANIZATION, ISLAMIC CONFERENCE AND ASIAN-AFRICAN LEGAL CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE

MOHAMED SALAH TEKAYA (Tunisia) said Tunisia was satisfied to know that consultations and cooperation between the two organizations could lead to new achievements in the field of trade, food security, human development and assistance to refugees. In that framework, he called for new assistance to the Islamic Conference and its subsidiary organs. Accordingly, his country supported the draft on the cooperation between the two organizations. In closing, he stressed the importance of extending to the Islamic Conference the facilities and privileges provided to other observer missions, so that the Conference might best carry out its function.
