ASSEMBLY PRESIDENT CONDEMNS ACT OF SENSELESS VIOLENCE IN LUXOR, EGYPT

19971117 The following statement was issued today by the spokesman for the President of the General Assembly, Hennadiy Udovenko (Ukraine):

The President of the General Assembly has learned with shock and dismay of the vicious terrorist attack earlier today in Luxor, Egypt, which led to numerous deaths among innocent civilians. The President condemns this act of senseless violence. He conveys his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
