NOTE TO CORRESPONDENTS PRIME MINISTER OF CAPE VERDE TO VISIT HEADQUARTERS ON 24 SEPTEMBER

Prime Minister Carlos Alberto Wahnon de Carvalho Veiga of Cape Verde will visit Headquarters on Wednesday, 24 September, to address the General Assembly and to confer with Secretary-General Kofi Annan and with Hennadiy Udovenko (Ukraine), President of the General Assembly.

Prime Minister Veiga will arrive at 12:50 p.m. at the Delegates Entrance, where he will be received by the Chief of Protocol. He will be escorted to the West Foyer to wait for the invitation of the Assembly President to proceed to the General Assembly Hall to deliver his address.

Following his speech, the Prime Minister will proceed to Room GA-200 to confer with the Secretary-General and subsequently to pay a courtesy call to the Assembly President.

The Prime Minister will leave Headquarters from the Delegates Entrance.
