NOTE TO CORRESPONDENTS PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE TO VISIT HEADQUARTERS ON 22 SEPTEMBER

President Leonid D. Kuchma of Ukraine will visit Headquarters on Monday, 22 September.
President Kuchma will be received at the Delegates Entrance at 12:51 p.m. by the Secretary-General. He will be escorted by Protocol to the Second Floor and to the West Foyer to join other heads of State and government who will attend the luncheon hosted by the Secretary-General in their honour.
Mr. Kuchma, accompanied by the Secretary-General and escorted by the Chief of Protocol, will proceed to the North Lounge, where luncheon will be served at 1:30 p.m. The luncheon will conclude at 2:50 p.m.
Following the luncheon, the President will be escorted by the Chief of Protocol to the General Assembly Hall, where he will be seated in the heads of State chair. He will then address the General Assembly.
After his speech, Mr. Kuchma, accompanied by the President of the General Assembly and the Secretary-General, and escorted by the Chief of Protocol, will proceed to Room GA-200. At this point, the Assembly President and the Secretary-General will take leave of Mr. Kuchma, who will then leave Headquarters by the Delegates Entrance.
At 4:30 p.m., President Kuchma will return to Headquarters arriving through the Delegates Entrance. He will be received by the Chief of Protocol, who will escort him to Room GA-200, where he will confer with the Secretary- General.
After meeting with the Secretary-General, the President will be escorted by the Chief of Protocol to the Delegates Entrance, from where he will leave Headquarters.
