UN CHRONICLE TO HAVE OWN SPOT ON WORLDWIDE WEB
19970812 A recent issue of the UN Chronicle, a publication of the Department of Public Information (DPI), featured an inside look at United Nations resources available on the worldwide web. Now the magazine is to have its own web venue.The DPI has launched the official web site of the UN Chronicle. Designed at no cost to the Organization, the new web site, accessible at http://www.un.org/Pubs/chronicle, includes details of the contents of individual issues, along with hyperlinks to selected articles and cover images. In addition, site participants can download subscription forms or directly e-mail the publication.
The UN Chronicle venue on the web, which is coordinated and maintained by DPI, will be continuously updated as new issues of the "dead-tree edition" (the hardcopy magazine) are published.
The United Nations home page (http://www.un.org) is accessed by approximately 4 million visitors every month.
