SECRETARY-GENERAL APPOINTS THREE ADVISERS TO UNITED NATIONS PENSION FUND

19961213 This statement was issued today by the Spokesman for Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali:

The Secretary-General has appointed three advisers to provide investment advice to the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund. The appointments are effective 1 January 1997 for three years. The advisers so named are Fiduciary Trust Company International (United States), Paribas Asset Management (France) and Nikko International Capital Asset Management (Japan).

The Pension Fund was established by the General Assembly to provide retirement, death, disability and related benefits for the participants of its 18 member organizations.
