NOTE TO CORRESPONDENTS CHAIRMAN OF LIBERIA'S TRANSITIONAL GOVERNMENT TO VISIT HEADQUARTERS

The Chairman of the Council of State of the Liberian National Transitional Government, Ruth Perry, will visit United Nations Headquarters on Wednesday, 9 October. She will meet with Secretary-General Boutros Boutros- Ghali and address the General Assembly.

The Chairman will arrive at the Delegates' Entrance at 9:25 a.m. where she will be received by the Secretary-General. Following an honour guard salute, she will confer with the Secretary-General in his office, Room GA-200. She will then meet with the President of the General Assembly in GA-200, before addressing the Assembly.

Following her speech to the Assembly, the Chairman will attend a meeting with the African Group of States at 11 a.m. in the Trusteeship Council. At 1 p.m., she will hold a press conference in room 226, after which she will leave Headquarters by the Secretariat Entrance.
