NOTE TO CORRESPONDENTS PRESIDENT OF POLAND TO VISIT HEADQUARTERS

The President of Poland, Aleksander Kwasniewski, will visit Headquarters on Monday, 23 September, and Tuesday, 24 September.

On Monday, at 1 p.m., President Kwasniewski will be received at the Delegates' Entrance by Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali, and will join other heads of State and government at the West Foyer.

At 1.30 p.m., the President will proceed to the Delegates' Dining Room where the luncheon will be served. He will leave Headquarters at 2:50 p.m. through the Delegates' Entrance.

At 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, 24 September, President Kwasniewski will arrive at Headquarters to address the General Assembly. He will arrive through the Delegates' Entrance and proceed to room GA-200 and to the office of the Secretary-General.

The President will confer with the Secretary-General and, at the invitation of the Assembly President, will enter the General Assembly Hall and be seated in the heads of State chair.

President Kwasniewski will then address the Assembly, after which, escorted by the President of the General Assembly and the Secretary-General, he will proceed to room GA-200.

At 4 p.m., President Kwasniewski will proceed to room 226 where he will hold a press conference. Thereafter, he will be escorted to the 1st floor where he will leave by the Delegates' Entrance.
