19960617 IN GENERAL ASSEMBLY HALL ON 20 JUNE

The 1996 United Nations International School (UNIS) graduation will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, 20 June, in the General Assembly Hall. Rosario Green, Special Political Adviser to the Secretary-General, will address the UNIS Class of 1996.

This year's graduating class of 114 young men and women represents 54 different nations and cultures. These and other students at UNIS have developed the ability to transcend political, geographical and cultural boundaries with mutual respect and caring for one another, truly demonstrating the meaning of peaceful coexistence.

The International School is an independent, coeducational elementary and secondary school located on two campuses -- at 25th Street along the East River in Manhattan and in Jamaica Estates, Queens. It serves a wide range of families living in the New York metropolitan area, including many affiliated with the United Nations and the city's international community.
