DAG HAMMARSKJOLD LIBRARY TO OFFER 'CYBERSEEK' -- TRAINING COURSE ON INTERNET INFORMATION RETRIEVAL

The Dag Hammarskjold Library, Department of Public Information (DPI), will offer a special training course entitled "CyberSeek: A Basic Course in Internet Information Retrieval", beginning next week.

Cyberseek is designed as a practical guide to finding and downloading information to meet individual needs and interests and is offered to delegates and staff of Permanent Missions. It forms part of a continuing series of courses aimed at enhancing DPI's outreach efforts through electronic information technology.

Training will be provided every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on an ongoing basis. Each session will include half an hour of hands-on training by a Reference Librarian, followed by half an hour for independent exploration. Classes begin on 18 June and are by appointment.
