SENIOR UN OFFICIAL CONFIRMS PAYMENT OF $3.9 MILLION BY SWITZERLAND TO REGULAR BUDGET

In response to a question, the Assistant Secretary-General for Public Information, Samir Sanbar, confirmed that the Government of Switzerland has paid its agreed contribution of $3.9 million for 1996 in time and in full to the United Nations regular budget. He took the opportunity to express appreciation to the Swiss Government and to all other governments that have made similar payments at this crucial period
